  • I’m in need of this Time Out because I just need a moment to myself between working, my kids, grand daughter and taking care of my mom. I just need a moment to breath……..

  • I am writing this comment not for myself, but for my superhero mother: Charmaine Donald. My mother, the epitome of a soul mama, is 115% … (actually infinity) deserving of winning a time out for soul nourishment and pampering this lovely Mothers’ Day. My mother is the most intentional, beautiful, intelligent, graceful, powerful, SELFLESS black woman that I know in my life.

Being born in Barbados and having to come to America with not the most lucky and privileged background, she is full of ambition and self-determination. She worked tirelessly to create a better world and upbringing for my siblings and I than what she had. Whenever I think of the word selfless I immediately think of my mother. She is is a mother of 3 children (me being the middle child) and is ALWAYS I mean ALWAYS providing for us and often neglecting herself. I have noticed that as I grew older and made a point emphasize the importance of self-care and self-love to her. She would always reply with “if you all are happy, then I am happy.”

My mother recently made the brave and bold decision to put herself first and pursue her higher education journey. She is currently balancing an Online Master’s Degree in Mental Health/Wellness, while taking care of her own mother who suffers from mental illness issues, and supporting all of us. I never know how she does it, but she gets it done and she gets it done well. I am happy to see her pursuing her passions and carving more time for herself, but I still feel like she can do better.

Winning this gift for my mother would be an amazing for my mom to create a day just for herself where she can start reflecting on how to practice more sustainable self-care practices for the rest of the year and beyond. It would be a great stress-relief as well. I want to give my mother the world, but before I can afford that I still want to shower her with intentional gifts along the way. Thank you for this opportunity to do that. My email is

  • Life has been challenging. I lost my sister to pancreatic cancer and since loosing her my life has not been the same. Work has been very stressful. I can use a spa day simply just to have some me time and relax.

  • I deserve a spa day because I at the moment I am assisting my mother in law take care of her husband after open heart surgery. At the moment we are very busy being caregivers. Would like to enjoy spa day with my favorite line of hair & body products Soultanicals. Thank you😀😀

  • I was a teen mom and now that I’m in my 30s I look back and realize I sacrificed everything for my kids. My world revolves around just their needs and wants. I get 4 hours of sleep each day because my day starts with the youngest, and I take my oldest to school for an hour since this is her last year in high school, then I take her to work. I wait around for her to get off work and pick her up. In the meantime I help my middle child with homework and constantly tryna keep him busy so he won’t take a nap before bedtime. I cook for them then I go in for the nightshift while my oldest watches my toddler. I come home around midnight can’t go straight to bed because life worries bills etc… Once I doze off, I’m back at it like a wash cycle. I am beyond exhausted and I don’t see no end to this stagnant lifestyle. I would love to take a day to unwind and it be only about me my needs and my wants. Just one day out of 18 years would be nice. No regrets would do it over in a heartbeat for them.❤️❤️❤️
